April 2, 2014 – April Meeting

This month, we dip back into historical romance

with Seattle author

Stefanie Sloane

Stefanie worked as an editor in Amazon.com’s Books department until she decided to pursue her own writing career. She’s released several historicals, a couple of which are shown below. These are some amazing covers. Stefanie is also generous with her time and has worked hard to mentor other authors, myself included. So let’s give a warm, Regency welcome to this month’s author, Stefanie Sloane.

Here’s the blurb for her recently released Christmas story, One Perfect Christmas:

Although he’s never been prone to regret, the Honorable Lucas Cavanaugh cannot help but wish for a fresh start with Jane Merriweather. After being jilted by her fiancé, Jane turns to her dear childhood friend, Lucas, for support—and unlocks the hidden emotion and smoldering desire simmering in the man’s troubled heart. Frightened by his newfound feelings, Lucas flees to Scotland. But when the Christmas season brings them together again, one look at Jane is all that’s needed to reignite his yearning for the woman. Now Lucas must convince Jane that his intentions are as pure as the falling snow—and turn a dreary December into a joyous Yuletide affair.

You can check out all Stefanie’s stories on her website.

Round Table Readers meets the first Wednesday of every month at the Round Table Pizza in Tacoma at 7901 S. Hosmer St Ste A-1, from 12:00 – 2:00.
